Supporting Girls in India

"One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world."

"In many parts of the world, marriage is not just a bond between individuals, but between families. It plays a crucial role in shaping social and economic dynamics"

About Me

My name is Zain Khan

I am a high school student studying in the United States, but I have a deep connection to my roots in India through my Mother.  One of India's greatest challenges is the education of girls in certain parts of the country. I have a younger sister whom I love dearly. Just like I want the best for my sister, I want to do something meaningful for my sisters in India. I want to help my Indian sisters, achieve their goals. Whether it is an education or to have a beautiful wedding, I want to support them the best I can.

I will start by collecting Zakat funds and then channel them to organizations that support education of underprivileged children, especially girls,  in Hyderabad, my Mother's birthplace.  My goal is not simply to  fundraise, but to foster hope and empower these girls and young women through education. I want to inspire my peers, as well as my elders, to join my cause; guided by my vision of a brighter future for every child.

I also hope to support young women in India by facilitating their future marriages through Zakat donations, and other community-driven fundraising initiatives. The goal is to provide financial assistance to families in need, ensuring that every young woman has the opportunity to celebrate her marriage with dignity and joy. Through these collective efforts, I hope to create a brighter future for these young women and their families.

My Family's Philanthropic Journey: A Legacy of Compassion and Transformation

My family's journey in philanthropy began with my mother’s decision to sponsor the education of an autorickshaw driver's bright son, enabling him to attend the same private school that she attended, where he thrived and graduated with pride.  Inspired by this success, my family funded the education of another autorickshaw driver's daughter who then became a successful dentist.

My mother's dedication and generosity extended beyond education. She also covered the wedding expenses of the family's longtime domestic helper and driver, and then funded their children's education. Their gratitude and success continues to motivate us.

As a high school student, I am inspired to continue this legacy, so I have founded KhanCaresOrg, a non-profit dedicated to supporting underprivileged children. The organization aims to provide educational opportunities, study materials, school supplies, and mentorship programs to ensure every child can succeed. KhanCaresOrg's mission is to create a brighter future, inspired by the stories of those my family has helped.
